Anders Hejlsberg has been continuously the highest-volume contributor since the project's first commit on July 7, 2014. Many of the language's defining checker behaviours (control-flow analysis, conditional types, mapped types, template literal types) trace back to changes he authored.

How to find a reviewer

If you have a PR that fits the maintenance criteria in AGENTS.md, open it without @-mentioning anyone. The TypeScript team rotates triage and a maintainer will pick it up. The names above are informational — please don't tag them directly, especially since the team's focus has shifted to microsoft/typescript-go.

Bots and automation

The repo also has substantial automation traffic:

• TypeScript Bot (~1,000 commits) — release automation, scheduled tasks, baseline updates.
• Dependabot — daily dev-dep bumps.
• csigs — Microsoft localisation bot pushing translated strings.
