Factory has raised $200M at a $5B valuation to scale self-improving software development in the enterprise. This financing from Blackstone, Khosla Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Insight Partners, Evantic Capital, Sound Ventures, NEA, Mantis VC, and Clearlake brings our total funding to over $400 million. We will use this capital to accelerate our investments in research, product, and global go-to-market.
We founded Factory in 2023 with the mission to bring autonomy to software engineering and create a world where software builds and improves itself. Factory is used by hundreds of thousands of developers in the world’s most important businesses. Today Nvidia, Blackstone, Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), Palo Alto Networks, Adobe, and T-Mobile are building self-improving software factories they can control, trust, and measure with Factory.
Rather than stitching together fragmented tools and standalone agents, teams using Factory govern a single, trusted system across the entire software development lifecycle. Factory gives enterprises control over how their software factory learns, which models it uses, and where it runs, whether deployed in the cloud, on-premises, or in fully air-gapped environments.
We have been relentlessly focused on building for our customers who are at the frontier of agentic software development. In April we announced Factory 2.0 progressing the platform from individual coding agents into software factories. We launched Factory Router for automatic task-level model routing, cutting token spend by more than 60% while maintaining frontier performance. We enabled autonomous software engineering for air-gapped and high-security environments, extending deployment to regulated and public-sector customers. And we introduced Agent Effectiveness so enterprises can gain visibility into the measurable value that their AI spend produces.
At Factory, we have the strongest, most ambitious team in applied research. Our engineers, researchers, and forward-deployed teams work side by side with enterprise customers to stand up their software factories. We hire for clock speed and conviction. We believe the future of software is autonomous and self improving, and we are building it.
If you are an unreasonably ambitious polymath and want to build the future of software, join us.
