About the Role
Factory is looking for a Senior Manager of Accounting to own and build our core accounting function. This is our first dedicated accounting hire and a foundational role on the finance team. You will take ownership of the monthly close, reporting, controls, and compliance infrastructure as the company scales through its next phase of growth.
What you will do and achieve:
- Own the monthly and quarterly financial close process end-to-end.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Lead revenue recognition across multiple subscription billing models under ASC 606.
- Manage accounts payable and vendor relationships, including payment approvals, contract review, and expense allocations.
- Build and maintain expense allocation processes.
- Manage accounts receivable collections and cash application processes.
- Coordinate tax compliance, including international filings and documentation.
- Evaluate and implement accounting systems and tools as the company scales.
- Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and process documentation.
- Manage relationships with external accounting, audit, and tax partners.
Qualifications
- CPA required.
- 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 3-4 years in audit or assurance at a Big 4 firm.
- 3+ years in-house at a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606.
- Experience with equity accounting and stock-based compensation.
- Hands-on experience managing or implementing ERP and billing systems.
- Strong analytical and Excel skills.
- Able to operate independently in a fast-paced, lean environment.
- Experience applying LLMs and AI automation to finance and accounting workflows.
